Marble
Inlay
Marble inlay is a decorative technique where small pieces of colored stones carefully cut and fit together to create intricate designs or patterns on a marble surface for flooring or table tops. The process involves carving shallow grooves, or "routings," in the marble and then filling them with the inlaid material. This technique has been used for centuries in the construction of palaces, tombs, and mosques in many countries. Marble inlay is also known as "pietra dura" or "parchin kari."
